At Beckley Church of England Primary School we provide an excellent education within Christian surroundings. Every individual is valued and we respect everyone’s opinion, faith, race and gender. We believe that education should be seen by our children as life enhancing and life lasting.
Our purpose is to provide a happy and secure environment in which children will enjoy learning and being a part of the school community. Our school aims are as follows:
- To provide a broad and balanced, well-taught creative curriculum which enables all children to reach their full potential academically, physically, socially and spiritually.
- To develop children’s curiosity, imagination, love of learning and sense of fun.
- To create a happy, supportive and safe environment where children can become friends, learn to help each other and gain a greater understanding of community.
- To foster self-discipline, independence and resilience, encouraging children to make good choices and take responsibility for their actions.
The staff and Governors believe that in order to achieve these aims, a strong partnership between school and home must be formed. Please take opportunities to talk to the staff or Governors whenever you need to ask a question, tell us something or make views known.
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
